BeThree.com Spotlights The P Spot®
The Examiner Recognizes The P Spot®

"Michaela Brown is well on her way to building a local fitness empire.
She has her own studio, The P Spot®, in northwest DC. She teaches 20 Exoterobics®
(her unique spin on cardio striptease) classes per week, with online courses
slated to begin soon. She just finished filming fitness DVDs,
which will be available for purchase this fall.
The 27-year old native New Yorker is living her dream...

...Brown decided to draw upon her experience as a personal trainer and her
background in dance and the performing arts to make strip aerobics her own. She
launched her Exoterobics® classes for women in November 2006, including
Chairwork, PoleFit (not, Brown stresses, Pole Dancing), Strip Aerobics, Body-licious,
and Floorwork.

Fifteen hundred satisfied customers later, business is booming. “People come in
because they see ‘pole’, or ‘strip’, or ‘exotic’,” Brown says, “but the workout they get
and the results they see are what keep them coming back.” Her customers echo that
assessment. “Pain has never been so much fun, nor has it ever gotten me such
great results,” said one repeat client. A recent first-timer commented,
“It was absolutely thigh-destroying—I was sore for three days.
But I’ll definitely go back. I had the time of my life!...”

BeThree.com Spotlights The P Spot®
"...the bride and bridal party were sporting six-inch stilettos and workout
duds as we bumped and grinded our way through what’s called
“Exoterobics®” or “Strip Aerobics” - a sizzling hot trend in group fitness
that teaches moves like the “snake” where you rotate your hips clockwise
and seductively move toward the ground in a thigh-burning squat...

...my class was taught by certified personal trainer, Michaela Brown,
owner of The P Spot® Fitness Studio of Washington, DC. Halfway
through the 60-minute session I had already sweat through my tank.
The suggestive squats and lusty lunges seriously hurt
(and I mean, hurt so good).

35 minutes in, I was focused on turning my contorted expression into a
sexy and salacious smile when a “boom” interrupted my concentration.
A fellow bridesmaid was down (she blamed it on her stilettos).

Over our raucous laughter, Michaela hollers, “Honey! Don’t worry! Just
bring it up sexy!®” Following orders, the fallen maid tucked her hair
behind her ear and stood, butt pushed out and chest leading the way.
Damn, she looked hot..."

Strip Aerobics: Shake it Like it's Hot
"Although I can put on a brave front, I must admit I was a little apprehensive about taking Strip Aerobics.
I was picturing this big, brightly lit room with ultra-fit women parading around in skimpy clothing. I was afraid the
students would laugh at me and critique my moves. I feared the class might involve removing my clothes.

Another misconception: I’ve read various reviews of cardio striptease DVDs, and a few people have commented that it
wasn’t a good cardio workout. I actually went to the class thinking, “Oh, I’m not expecting this to wear me out.”
Now that the class is over, what would I like to say to those people? Throw out those DVD and get yourselves
to this class, or one that’s similar in your area.

Strip Aerobics at The P Spot not only busted the myth that striptease isn’t a real workout, but there was
never a single moment where I felt self-conscious. “Never?” you ask. NEVER. How can that be? I was too busy
trying to keep up! And so was everybody else. We were too busy trying to do the moves correctly to
worry about checking each other out (much less worrying about critiquing each other)...."

The P Spot® Voted "Naughtiest Night In"
by the Washington Post

"Naughtiest Night In: Michaela Brown's background may be in
personal training, but the 26-year-old owner of The P Spot® knows
a thing or two about strip dancing. Groups of five to 10 girls can
book a one- or two-hour session in Brown's Rhode Island Avenue
studio, where she'll teach basic strip-tease moves or pole-dancing
techniques. Fees for these sessions cost $10 to $20 per person,
per hour. Feeling a little shy? Brown can bring her instruction to
your home. A two-hour session costs $500 (plus the cost of travel)
for strip-tease lessons and $600 (plus the cost of travel) for pole
dancing. These private sessions work best with two to three
people and can be arranged by calling 202-299-9604."

"Please Tease Me"
~The Washington Post Express Paper

"Sexy struts, rocking hips and pole lifts: The P Spot®'s PoleFit isn't your average
aerobics/strength-training class. Instructor Michaela Brown, a Georgetown grad, says that
too many people quit going to the gym because it doesn't keep their attention.
"My whole things was 'How can I trick people into working out?" she said.

Incorporating striptease moves into workouts is nothing new, but this offers more toning than any
Carmen Electra DVD. "Before it's a pole class, before it's a strip class, it's a fitness class," says
Brown, who calls out moves throughout the hour-long session like the head cheerleader of sexy..."

chair moves that characterize The P Spot®'s Chairwork class.

The P Spot® Hits The Hill
"The PoleFit class taught by Brown begins with students
urged to slip into 6-inch stiletto heels, sign a waiver and pick
a pole. But it’s the 6-inch stilettos coupled with the standing,
squatting, gyrating and spinning around a pole that makes
looking sexy a real challenge — especially for the newbie.
One novice’s massive pain and muscle failure experienced
during the first class offers quickly noticeable results and a skill
set that could come in handy in the privacy of your own home.
And it’s an exciting option for a great day out with the girls..."
